It took us three months, but we finally made some friends! This was our second time to Silver Falls State Park, but the first outing with fellow Portland transplants from Atlanta, Logan and Amy, that our mutual Atlanta friend Danell helped make happen.
The Trail of Ten Falls Loop hike is typically 8.7 miles round trip, but recent winter weather closed off a portion of the trail. We still were able to see most of the falls. Here’s a little overview of some of the amazing falls.
The forest there was also well worth seeing. Towering trees, and brilliant green moss hanging everywhere made the hike a magical experience! We finished the afternoon off with much needed sandwiches and a beer.
